Materials

TIDAL Technology™ is additively manufactured via laser powder bed fusion of medical grade Titanium (Ti6Al4V ELI) or Cobalt Chrome (CoCr) Alloys. 

Titanium Alloys

Medical-grade titanium is commonly used due to its excellent biocompatibility and strength. The titanium is processed using laser powder bed fusion, a type of additive manufacturing that allows for precise control over the implant’s structure, including its porous architecture designed for optimal bone in-growth and fixation. 

Cobalt Chrome Alloys

These alloys are also used in certain implants, especially where high wear resistance and durability are required. Like titanium, cobalt chrome can be processed using additive manufacturing techniques to create complex, patient-specific designs.
