A. David Davis, MD is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, fellowship-trained in arthroscopy and sports medicine. He provides care for adults and adolescents with injuries of the bones, joints, and muscles. Dr. Davis specializes in the care of sports-related injuries, with a particular focus on injuries of the shoulder, hip, and knee. His clinical practice includes arthroscopic surgery with a focus on ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff repairs, and labrum repairs of the shoulder and hip. He also specializes in hip preservation using the latest techniques in hip arthroscopic surgery.
He has worked as an assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics, Tufts University football and hockey programs, and is currently a team physician for several New Hampshire Seacoast high schools.
In 2023 and in years prior, Dr. Davis was named one of the Top Doctors in New Hampshire — Orthopaedic Surgery. “Using nonsurgical interventions, modern technology, and the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery, my goal is to help each patient achieve their best possible outcome,” said Dr. Davis. “It is a tremendously rewarding experience helping patients in their journey toward recovery and one that I accept with immense gratitude and humility.”
Dr. Davis is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has published works in both Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Basic Science and is currently involved in orthopaedic research on ACL anatomy and new techniques for the repair of ACL injuries.
Dr. Davis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science from the University of California Los Angeles. He received his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Davis performed his orthopaedic residency at the Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed his surgical training as a Sports Medicine Fellow at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
